The U.S. after November 6, 2012

Gangrene of American finance has led to a global economic crisis with known results: loss of jobs, bankruptcy million homeowners, the decline of social protection. Yet five years later, the effect of a singular paradox, no one can quite exclude arrival at the White House a man, Willard Mitt Romney, who owes his immense fortune to finance speculative, the relocation of jobs and charms (tax) of the Cayman Islands.
His choice of parliamentary Paul Ryan as Republican candidate for the vice-presidency provides an overview of what might look like if the United States, November 6, voters yielded to the temptation of the worst. While Barack Obama has already agreed a plan to reduce the budget deficit which reduced social spending without raising the level - abnormally low - the tax on the highest incomes (1), Ryan grossly inadequate judge this Democratic capitulation. His program, which Mr. Romney rallied and the House of Representatives (mostly Republican) has already approved, further reduce taxes by 20%, reducing their maximum rate to 25%, a low not seen since 1931, it would increase simultaneously military spending, and he would accomplish everything by dividing by ten from the budget deficit in the U.S. gross domestic product. How Ryan hopes he achieve such a performance? Abandoning the term private - or charity - mainly civilian missions of the State. Thus, the budget for indigent medical coverage would be reduced ... 78% (2).
Since the beginning of last year, Obama has a policy of austerity as ineffective and cruel in the United States and elsewhere. Sometimes he welcomes the (few) good economic news, it then carries the credit of his presidency, he now blames poor (including the employment situation) to the Republican filibuster. Such a dialectic is unlikely to re-engage the electorate, the U.S. president is expected that the fear of radicalism of his opponents handed ensure a second term. But what would he do after squandering the promise of the first and then it seems certain that the Congress elected in November will be more right than he found upon entering the White House?
Once again, a system locked by two parties vying for favors granted to business will force millions of Americans discouraged by the softness of their president to vote again for him nonetheless. They then either resign, usual in the United States, between bad and worse. Their verdict will however not without consequences elsewhere: the victory of a Republican Party determined to destroy the welfare state, outraged by the "assistant" installed the trailer Christian fundamentalists and brought to the paranoia by hatred of Islam galvanize European right one already itch by such temptations.
